My angel is growing up so fast! Everyday I love seeing more & more of her personality shine through… she is at the stage where she’s learning everything so quickly and is expressing herself both verbally and physically so well! It’s really amazing the jump you see in development from 12 months to 18 months (especially in independence & communication) Basically I just want to freeze time. Right now. TODAY!… Because it really is all going way TO FAST!
That brings me to my first resolution of 2018 (Yes, I know it’s a bit overkill this week but I’m hoping that by putting mine down on paper it will give me a new sense of accountability) Also, please bare with me while I get a bit more personal then I’m accustomed to…
1. Continue to BE GRATEFUL- It can be easy to get caught up and distracted with outside influences (whether it’s an issue at work or with a friend, or a laundry list of to-do’s) That being said, it’s important to mentally take the time to truly appreciate and be GRATEFUL for all of the amazing things that you have going on in your life. My husband is really good at always remembering and reminding me of the big picture that is our family leading a loving, healthy & joyful life… and unless something is going to mess with that it’s probably not worth giving that much attention to
2. Continue to BE PRESENT– I’m not one who overly obsesses with their phone. I would much rather be present and apart of the moment in order to enjoy it rather then to document it… however starting this new venture means that I will be spending a lot more hours on the phone & computer and I would like to remind myself to keep a proper balance over the months to come
3. BE LESS concerned with FOMO – My husband and I both like to go out on the town and have fun and we as a couple are always up to go the extra mile for our friends or family when we can; however, this year I am going to try to not beat myself up when situations arise that just don’t make sense for us as a family… sometimes it’s perfectly ok to just take it slow (and I know neither our friends nor family will hold it against us)
The above are just a few of my resolutions that I think will help me become a better wife, mom and individual over the course of the year. I’d love to hear your 2018 pursuits as well. Feel free to leave them in the comments field of this post if you are comfortable sharing!
Now let’s talk outfit details. I’ve recently starting to enjoy the GRAPHIC attire trend! (Hence the picture above) I’ve included a boutique of my favorites below!
I ordered this grateful sweatshirt in a junior size (large) and it’s a little baggy but I like my sweatshirts with some room.
My ❤️ for Montauk in a sweater (I plan on purchasing this soon) along with this sweatshirt and probably this so Rosie and I can match ? **they feature different cities as well if you don’t share my affinity for all things MTK**
