We didn’t really have any plans this long weekend aside from dinner & a comedy show with my sis & bro in law on Sunday evening! If you read my blog post on Sunday: HERE then you know Frank & I are trying to incorporate more “New York-ey” activities into our night-life.. and this weekend we saw our first comedy show at MSG. We became hooked on Netflix stand-up right after I gave birth to Rosie. It was an easy thing to put on the tube and a much needed escape before falling asleep at night when we were in the apartment those first few weeks back from the hospital. This weekend we saw one of our favs, Sebastian Maniscalco on his #StayHungry tour. He is absolutely hilarious especially if you like that Seinfield type of comedy aka finding humor out of ordinary/everyday life. I had never been to MSG for a comedy show so it was definitely a different sort of experience. While I have to say I’m partial to a smaller venue in this type of setting, MSG is always an easy and fun place to see a concert, sporting event or show especially if you live in NYC. Next on our list is Billy Joel.
This major snow-storm hype was a total bust! But if this past weekend is any indication of the type of Winter we have in store.. it’s going to be a COLD one! When it’s below freezing the last thing I want to do is wear anything that’s not comfortable & warm hence.. my Cold Weather Mom Uniform! My everyday winter essentials usually consist of an oversized sweater & leggings topped off with comfy boots, a pom hat (for some reason I wasn’t able to link the picture of the hat but this link will take you to the exact style I’m wearing) & a puffer jacket. Check out more of my cold-weather essentials below and if you’re in the market for winter boots/sneaks check out my latest splurge vs steal post: HERE
