If you read PART 1 of this BLOG POST then you know that I’ve recently tried out the Rent the Runway Unlimited Service which allows you to rent an unlimited wardrobe (4 items at a time that you can interchange as frequently as you’d like throughout the 1 month time period) For all the details about how it works and the different options you can choose from check out PART 1 of this series. There are many reasons why you might want to try out the unlimited or reserve RTR service: Spring is approaching and you are in need of some new clothes but don’t want to invest in items you might only wear a few times. Check. You have 3 events coming up a wedding, bridal shower & a baptism and you don’t want to spend tons of $$$ on 3 new dresses. Check Check. You’re pregnant or postpartum and don’t want to invest in sizes that won’t fit you for over time. Check. Check. Check! I fell into all of these camps so I decided to give RTR Unlimited a TRY and let me tell you I’m loving it! Below I’m sharing my review of the unlimited service (including it’s pros and cons) as well as some of my favorite SPRING & RESORT rentals. I’ll also be adding a PART 3 to this post with all of the outfits that I rented this past month so stay tuned!
I love that the service allows you to try out different trends like these oversized Chloe sunglasses and mix them with closet staples like my Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots (STYLE STEAL version: HERE) & Burberry coat (similar style: here). I normally don’t wear big sunny’s so it was fun testing these out for the month. *USE CODE: NEWCLOSET to sign up for a discounted trial month*

PROS & CONS of the SERVICE
First off if you live in NYC the turnaround is amazing. Anything ordered before 3 pm EST will arrive at your doorstep next day which makes exchanging and ordering new items very easy. The items arrive in a garment bag that has a pre-paid return label included so there are no extra steps on your end. You can choose to exchange either 1 or all 4 items at any time throughout the month. Another thing to be aware of is that new styles are added to the site on Saturday morning… so Saturday’s are usually a good time to select new styles and be ahead of the line. Two cons I found: one the maternity section is somewhat limited although I do like that you can search for “bump friendly items” by trimester. These items are not actually considered maternity but will fit a growing bump. #2 Con: the selection is massive so you have to be on your game because sizes of popular items could be unavailable if you’re not. What I would suggest is to create a HEARTS folder with all of your favorites that way you have everything that you like easily accessible. I created different folders for different categories: Work Style, Weekend, Maternity etc. Overall I was pleased with the service. This month I’m downgrading to the Reserve Service which includes 4 pieces for the month (no swapping) I don’t have a lot going on so this will be fine and then I plan to return to unlimited in April when I have a few events, baby showers etc coming up.
