This weekend we headed to Easton, CT to Silverman’s Farm per the suggestion of our friend & photographer Julia Dags (Julia produces all of the photos of Rosie & I for my Blog) aka anything that does not look like an old iPhone is all hers! We usually head out to Long Island for these types of activities but after checking out Silverman’s online I realized it was just a short drive from the city…and had so much to offer! It also happens to be close to Fairfield, CT where I have family and Ridgefield, CT where Frank grew up. It was such a nice farm with tons of land & activities for the little ones.
The pick your own pumpkin patch was great. Rosie spotted her wheelbarrow & wagon right away and was ready to choose her pumpkins. We also took a scenic tractor ride throughout the orchard which was beautiful.
To the right of the property there was an animal petting farm. Donkey’s, llamas, pigs, goats & more. What started out as a quick trip out of the city ended up being a 2 plus hr excursion. Rosie could not get enough of the animals & pumpkins! If you live in CT or in Manhattan, definitely check out Silverman’s for a fall weekend activity and don’t forget to buy a pack of their infamous cider donoughts!
We had just returned home from Italy the night before so it was a no make-up, messy hair, fleece wearing kind of day. I’m a big fan of the 4-season fleece style by Dudley-Stephens which comes in heather-grey (pictured above) & a light pink. The material is lighter then the original Fleece and is not as bulky. It’s great for slightly warmer temps & it was just res-stocked last week so snag your’s before sizes run out! For more about the difference between the two fleece styles & fabric’s, there’s a feature on the Dudley Stephen’s website today: HERE
Rosie has also been living in her white Fleece It’s super easy to throw on when you’re running out the door and matches with everything plus added bonus…it’s stain resistant. We’ve had lots of spills and accidents and it still looks brand new.

We even managed to get Daddy in one of the pictures! Just missing the menswear Dudley Stephen’s…
