I’m really excited to share our completed Stark Stair Runner with you guys today! Now that it’s installed every time I run up and down these stairs to grab that forgotten sock, diaper etc, this little space makes me so happy 🙂 I worked with the Stark Syosset Showroom team on the entire project from start to finish. Their friendly & knowledgable team helped me select everything from the pattern and style of the stair runner to the finishes (including matching the binding to the pattern of the rug) as well as installation! There were a ton of choices and decisions to be made and their guidance made the process a whole lot easier especially when it came to installing a patterened carpet on my old and windy staircase! Not as easy as it may look! I received a lot of ??? from you guys about the specific style of the carpet that we choose so for those wondering it’s called: Taz Stria in Colbalt. It looks more navy in some of the images but it’s actually a bright colbalt blue. One tip I would give to those in the market for any type of carpeting is that I would recommend getting samples from the showroom and placing them in the space you are going to carpet just to see how it matches with your floors. furniture etc. I originally was all set on a neutral herringbone but after living with the sample for a little while I decided last minute that I wanted something more bold & fun ! I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out 🙂

Where to get the look: Stark is known for their high quality top of the line carpets and if you’re from the Long Island area I would definitely recommend stopping by their Syosset Showroom if you are in need of any type of carpeting/rugs. Contrary to popular belief you don’t need to be an interior designer to visit and/or make your own purchases. If you do decide to pop in ask for Gary (the manager of the showroom) and he will help you get set up with whatever you need! He can inform you of the latest sales/deals going on that are available to the public as well as set you up with someone from his team to help with the design aspect. It’s great to be able to visit these types of places in general just to get a sense of feeling for the carpets themselves , the colors, patterns , etc. Afterwards you can bring home samples with you to help you decide. Stark also has a selection of rugs available at a major discount on One Kings Lane . I think this pattern would also be fun for a runner and this sisal option is similar to our living room rug.
