SHOP THE TRAVEL LOOK
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the BLOG but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the spare time to devote to it over the last few weeks…and tomorrow Frank & I are heading to Italy for my best friend’s wedding. The wedding is in her dad’s town of Orsogna which has a total population of 4,000 people. I’m so excited to experience this authentic Italian wedding & her families town & culture..Frank & I even tacked on a few extra nights in Rome & Florence. We both love Italy so much and there is just always something new and wonderful to see each time we go back. That said, this is the first time in the past year that we’ve left Rosie for more then 36 hrs so it’s definitely going to be rough…at the same time I know it will be good for us and that she is in the best hands with both sets of g-parents. Given that it’s almost 11 pm the night before we leave, and I just finished PACKING (almost)…. I thought I would share a quick round-up of my airplane uniform & my travel essentials
p.s. I don’t plan on doing any blog posts while we’re in Italy, but I will be sharing details from our trip on instagram & insta-stories… more importantly any outfit details that I post on Instagram can be found on the shop my Instagram page of the blog or on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app (follow me there @letsbemomfriends) if you don’t already because I often post extra looks that don’t always make the blog or my Instagram

ON THE PLANE
IN MY BAG: First thing I pack in my carry-on is a good book (Hard-copy Version) I’m embarrassed to say I started this book at the end of summer and never finished it. Hoping to finally read it on our travels. My skin is on the drier side as is but when I fly especially overseas it gets even drier. I carry this moisturizer, eye-cream, rose-water facial spray & this mask for those longer flights. An eye mask is also a must on intl flights if you plan on getting any shut-eye.
TRAVEL UNIFORM: Always consists of super soft leggings, slip on sneaks (Favorites: HERE & HERE) , a comfy long-sleeve tee and some sort of cozy poncho or wrap. Tomorrow I plan on wearing this Barefoot Dreams cardigan which I snagged during the Nordstrom Sale. It might be the most comfortable thing I’ve ever put on making it the perfect travel piece. I’m also packing my Remsen Blazer so that I can switch out of my comfy sweater into something a little more polished once we land. The Blanket Scarf is also back in stock.. I wish I snagged it earlier because it would be the perfect travel accessory to keep warm on cold airplanes, or to wrap up in on chilly evenings.
TRAVEL LUGGAGE: We received our luggage set as a wedding gift and registered for the Bric’s Bellagio Style . It’s classic, timeless & uni-sex. We have the standard Black but I also have this silver color that I use as a carry on. Mark & Graham makes a budget friendly version that is similar: HERE (you can also add a monogram) I usually bring along my favorite carry-on bag as well. The Longchamp Expandable Duffle is my all-time fav because it doubles in size once you unzip it (which particularly comes in handy if you plan on doing some shopping or bringing home gifts while you’re away) For a travel purse I’m all about the tote or a cross-body I love this classic Goyard tote and it doubles as a work or everyday bag as well.
Ciao for now,
