I’ve really been soaking up all this beach & family time in Montauk these past few weeks as has Rosie. We had our family reunion this past weekend with the entire extended fam and I’m still recovering! It was such a trip seeing Rosie and all of my cousins kids playing together on the beach at ditch plains like we did when we were youngings. (More of that to come) and just a little update- I plan on getting back into the full swing of things once the summer winds down!
Since I’ve been living at the beach my summer uniform has consisted of: denim shorts, an oversized linen top sunny’s , a wide brim beach hat & of course a bathing suit. In addition to that I always throw a sarong or pareo in my beach bag so today I wanted to roundup my favorite pareo/sarong styles as well as highlight 2 of my favorite BRANDS who make them!
P.s. Rosie has been living in these full length rash guard sets: HERE They are the best for the beach when it comes to sun protection and there are a number of girl/boy options on SALE right now!
At first glance you might think this brand is just a hat company but they actually make the cutest bags: HERE & HERE & pareos as well ! I’m wearing this particular striped pareo in the images above and I’ve come to really love all of their resort & winter accessories! My favorite hat of theirs will always be the packable rancher: HERE because you can toss it in your suitcase or at the bottom of your bag and it will not crease in the least bit. For a wide brim style: HERE.
You guys know I love supporting small businesses especially women backed businesses..(see this week’s BLOG post on the DUDLEY STPEHENS Fleeces) and this Southampton/NYC brand is no different. I actually came across India Amory while browsing on my Instagram a few years back. Julia, the founder came up with the idea for her company while looking for table prints to use at her own wedding out in East Hampton. Unable to find any, she decided to create her own using the Indian block print technique. The result was a lifestyle & home brand. She makes a variety of beautiful table-cloth & napkin prints that I adore and she recently started turning some of those prints into pareos/robes etc! I just purchased my first printed Sargong: HERE! p.s. These dinner napkins: HERE + table cloth: HERE would be perfect for a summer/fall dinner party as well as the perfect hostess gift.
