Hi friends! I did a little insta-story survey last week asking what you wanted to see more of this year and it was a resounding “home updates/home decor” across the board. That’s where my mind is at these days so I’m super excited to show you guys some snippets here and there along the way 🙂 That said, we are taking things super slow and ended up using a big chunk of our “decorating budget” on a few small construction projects around the house including built ins for the living room and a banquette for the kitchen. In regards to the Master, theres still a TON to do. Need a carpet, two tiny end tables because we have a weird wall situation where the bed is, dressers ordered but haven’t arrived yet, window treatments (yes we have the tacky stick on ones right now for privacy and lastly we have room for either a little reading nook with a chaise or a desk and chair. TBD We did however purchase our first king size bed (and let me tell you it’s life changing!) I’ve been working with our friend Missy from The Rinfret Group to help us source a few custom items here. She helped us select our bed from Vanguard Furniture along with it’s finishes: the brass nailhead trim, dark wood legs and light linen fabric (pictured above). I had my mind set on a very traditional mahogany 4 post bed (basically the exact opposite of what we went with) but after not being able to find anything with a modern twist she convinced me to go with something a little more contemporary and we love it! We also received the most beautiful bedding from Matouk to go with it.

When it came time to pick out our bedding I was extremely excited to do a collaboration with Matouk . I’ve been a huge fan of the brand ever since we received a bedding set for our apartment as a wedding registry gift. Matouk offers top of the line linens in a variety of beautiful patterns & colors… so you can imagine it was super hard to narrow down a style. I ended up selecting from the Mirasol collection in colorway Azure: 1 king size duvet cover, 1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, 2 king shams, 2 king pillowcases, 3 Euro Shams and 1 personalized boudoir pillow that is currently en route! I’m not really into monogramming the entire bedding but I thought a small monogrammed boudoir sham that you can throw on or off the bed adds a pretty and personal touch.

Matouk also offers bath towels, table linens and variety of items for the home. Check out my favorites that I linked in this post and if you’re local to Long Island Matouk is sold at Jabbour Linens in Locust Valley.
THANK YOU TO MATOUK FOR SPONSORING THIS POST
