Frank and I decided to take an impromptu jaunt to Palm Beach this past week just he & I… we were both in need of some mom & dad time and my doctor gave me a cut off on flying at 33 weeks so it was now or never! I’m a big fan of a Florida vacay especially from the northeast because it’s super easy and there’s not a lot of travel time involved. PBI airport also has to be one of my favorite airports ever. It’s very small and there is NEVER anyone there making security lines a breeze and traveling with kids easy as well. We are usually flying to see either my parents or franks parents with Rosie in toe so this was nice just to have a few days on our own.
We decided to stay in Palm Beach at The Breakers (only a 15 minute Uber from PBI airport) The iconic hotel was the perfect choice for a quick trip where one could stay without ever leaving the hotel grounds (it’s oceanfront, with multiple pools + golf access and a plethora of on property dining options) This trip was all about R&R and there was no agenda which was a nice change of pace. We ventured into palm beach one evening for dinner and on another morning for breakfast and a stroll but other than that the majority of our time we spent lounging at the pool or the beach. I even got to a read a BOOK. Amazing! (I finished the one that I had started last summer).
On Day 1 we had a “Celeb sighting” and for those of you who share in my guilty pleasure of the RHONY we ran into (literally bumped into on multiple occasions) Bethenny & her new beau on the beach at the hotel. We also met the talented Gray Malin. He was so so nice in person and he was doing a photographing at the Breakers two of the days that we were there! It was super cool getting an up close and personal look at his work! I’ve had my eye on his ditch plains print forever! Palm Beach is such a special, beautiful, and quaint island and it almost feels like it’s stuck in an era of the past which I really love & appreciate. I would recommend visiting whether itfor a baby moon, a romantic getaway or a family trip! There’s lots to offer everyone!

WHERE TO STAY
THE BREAKERS: I love love this iconic hotel! It gives you that old palm beach glamour that you don’t see anymore and the grounds are really breathtaking. It also has it all! It’s oceanfront, multiple pools, luxury spa and tons of dining options at your finger tips. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family trip! They also offer a camp for little ones over ages 4 and babysitting on site.
THE COLONY: (Budget Friendly Pick) This boutique hotel would be my next choice. I have a ton of friends who have stayed at this property and highly recommend it. It’s a budget friendly option that gives off that retro old school palm beach style & vibe. It’s also located close to all of the action and in walking distance of shopping, dining and the beach!

WHERE TO EAT
HMF: Located in the lobby of the Breakers in a beautiful and glamorous lounge. One word for you; Swanky. We enjoyed the delicious menu of small plates (the top notch classic cocktails or so I’m told) and the people watching.
RENATOS: One of our friends introduced us to this restaurant a few years ago and it has become one of our favorites. The outside dining in the beautiful garden and the Italian food are not to be missed!
FLAGLER STEAK HOUSE: This restaurant is considered part of the Breakers property. It’s located directly across the street from the hotel. It has more of an older and conservative vibe but the food is delicious and it has a beautiful sunset view overlooking the golf-course.

WHAT TO WEAR
I packed pretty light considering this was a short trip. My Airplane Travel Uniform consisted of these compression socks for flying in the 3rd trimester, the most comfortable pair of non-maternity “Sweatshirt overalls“ (yes you heard me right) and comfortable slip on sneakers. I packed a few bump-friendly bathing suits (this suit is under $25), a pair of sandals for the beach/ out at night, cover-ups (under $40 style: HERE) & sun-dresses (loving this new maxi style which works on and off the beach) Aside from myself I will say a majority of the island is decked in head to toe Lily Pulitzer. In other news today kick’s off the Sephora Insider Event for Rouge Members… my tinted moisturizer for summer & go-to sunscreen included. Check out the rest of what I packed for our palm beach getaway below.
