I’m almost at that point where I don’t want to put on any pants unless they are leggings! Is it me or are pants just the last thing any pregnant woman wants to wear? I’ve had a few ??? about my favorite maternity leggings from you all so I thought I would round up my TOP PICKS on the BLOG. I’ve also come across 2 new styles this time around and I’ve been wearing them at least a few times a week.
BELLY BANDIT
BELLY BANDIT: First up is Belly Bandit . I used this brand in my first pregnancy because I had really bad lower back pain. I was pretty big at the end and all that extra weight was crushing my lower back… my doctor recommended wearing a support belt while I was at work. I ended up purchasing and wearing their “upsy belly support belt” in my 3rd trimester. Recently I discovered the same brand made leggings and shapewear as well. I’m wearing the Bump Support Leggings in the images above and they have been my go to pair as of late. They are super stretchy, can be worn over or under the bump and have a shinny look to them. These leggings have a dresser feel and you can basically get away with wearing them to work or out with a longer top or sweater. I’m also a fan of the “B.D.A” style which has a thicker knit feel to them and can be worn “Before, During & After” the bump.
BLANQI: another new brand for me. One of my preggo friend’s recommended this pair of leggings to me and they come in at a close second. I think these are going to fit better in a few weeks when my bump is bigger as there is a lot of stretch to them. They are on the thinner side as well but I prefer the thin pair because you don’t sweat in them. I’m also really loving this brand’s tanks . Everything is designed around “support” so it’s a great choice for those with aching backs as well. I was wearing their “Belly Band” aka the thing that holds up your jeans and smooths you out when you’re not ready to make the transition to maternity denim yet up until a few weeks ago (not I’m full on maternity denim)
BEYOND YOGA: This brand makes my favorite maternity and non-maternity pair of athletic leggings. I have this (non-maternity) pair in the heather grey color which you may have seen on the blog before (HERE) and this (maternity version). The leggings are just super soft and really comfortable as well as flattering.
INGRID & ISABEL: for a slightly thicker material leggings. These are great for the winter and have a heavier feel to them (you wont be showing any lines and they are definitely not see through) This cross-over panel style & capri style was my go-to when I was pregnant with Rosie and I saved 1-2 pairs for this time around. They also have a cute round up of maternity clothes including these versatile dresses.
Other contenders: I haven’t tried out the SPANX leggings because I had ordered their faux leather leggings and wasn’t a fan of the way they fit me (they were just to tight on me) but I do have their tights which are great maternity and non-maternity wise! I also love love the luluemon align pants! They are super soft and can be worn before, during and after the bump! I sized up 1 size for pregnancy!
