Not quite SUMMER, not quite FALL. September is such a beautiful time of the year. It’s that ultimate in-between month when you wake up in the morning and instantly feel a hint of cool and crisp air but come the afternoon you can still take advantage of the warmth and sunshine. I don’t know if it’s just me but I can’t even think about dressing or shopping for Fall yet. If you take a scroll through your Instagram it seems like everyone has moved straight on to chunky sweater weather and pumpkin spice lattes. Don’t get me wrong I love Fall as much as the next gal but there’s nothing better then an Indian summer and I’m taking full advantage of it. If the weather keeps up, I’m looking forward to taking one last dip in the ocean next weekend at my cousins wedding in Montauk and I can’t wait!
When it comes to my September uniform, it doesn’t feel quite right to dress like its still summer and it doesn’t feel right to dress like it’s fall so when in doubt comfortable loose boyfriend denim, fitted white tee’s and slip on sneakers do the trick for me. I won’t be making any new purchases until it starts to really feel like fall.
The WHITE TEE
I’ve posted a lot about this white tee. I snagged it for $12 in store and found it online now for only $6 so I stocked up on two more. It’s one of the softest tee’s I own and I love the fitted look. It gives my $100 Vince favorite a run for it’s money. I also love this brand’s tees for layering and that tucked in the front/un-tucked in the back look. Linked all of my favorite tee’s above.
The BOYFRIEND DENIM
I’ve posted a lot about this pair of boyfriend denim as well and surprise these jeans are actually considered “maternity” but they button and zip like regular jeans. I wore them throughout my entire pregnancy (7 months in these photos) . It will run you the cost of a high-end pair but you won’t feel bad with the purchase because you can wear them before, during and after the baby (no need to toss out or under your bed until the next kid) This is key for me because after Rosie I never fit back into my pre-baby pregnancy denim and now with Margaret I know I’m not ready to invest in a new pair yet so I have been wearing these until then. Other favorite (non-maternity): here
I’m a total sneaker girl and nothing is easier then slipping on this comfortable pair of slip on sneaks. I snagged them about a year or so ago and they have been my go-to pair for errands and travel.. I’ve also had my eye on this pair for awhile and now that I’m ready to pull the trigger the color combo I want is sold out.
