I can’t resist a Matching Set especially in the gingham print above. I’ve always found the two-piece style to be extremely flattering plus I love that you get double the wear by being able to style it as is or as separates. I recently purchased the above (skirt: here & top: here) from Club Monaco & I’ve already worn it together on multiple occasions! As a Separate Skirt: I’ve paired the skirt with this sweater at my cousin-in-laws bridal shower a few weeks ago! This silk tank & this crop top would also work well with the skirt. As a Seperate Top: I plan on wearing the top with a pair of high-waisted white pants: here or white jeans: here
STEAL OPTIONS: I’m super excited whenever I can find a deal or a SALE and I found two almost identical STEAL versions of my outfit: this is a MAJOR steal (only $59 for the set) & this is a close 2nd
GINGHAM FINDS: p.s. If you’re into the gingham print as much as I am *Club Monaco is currently offering 25% off Dresses, Jumpsuits & Rompers & this gingham print jumpsuit is included. I’m also loving these gingham items: one-shoulder top, 1 piece swimsuit, & this pair of pants for the office.
MORE TWO-PIECE SET FAVORITES: I’m absolutely in love with this floral two piece set from GANNI (SKIRT: here & TOP: here) It’s also available in a beautiful wrap dress: here This will be my first purchase from the designer & I think I found my new go-to for wedding guest dresses! The patterns & styles sort of reminds me of SALONI (another one of my favorites for dresses)
If you’re a bride or have any all white events to attend this summer then you need this two piece jumpsuit! I’ve had my eye on it for a while now but can’t figure out where I will wear it!
STYLING WAVY/CURLY HAIR: Oh and SURPRISE! If you couldn’t tell from the rest of my images I have very wavy hair! I actually had planned to blow it dry for this photo shoot (you can probably still tell that it’s wet in some of the photos) but we had quite a morning so I was happy to at least squeeze in the shower 😉 I usually leave my hair wavy in the summer because it requires minimal to no effort at all. Just wash, dab in some leave in conditioner (this is the specific type I use..it’s very light and has a gel like consistency) & comb through with a wet brush: here or here (I know technically you’re not supposed to brush through curls but I can’t resist because my hair tends to become one giant knot if I don’t. I usually brush my hair immediately after getting out of the shower and then try not to touch it after that. For people looking for that real beach wave I’ve also used this in the past (it’s basically like ocean water for your hair- you know after you get out of the salt-water and you have that perfect beach wave! well this does that for you!
When I’m blow drying my hair I usually use a curling iron afterwards. I dab on a little bit of this heat protectant before styling. It works simultaneously to repair damaged hair (which I’m in dire need of for my parched & dry highlighted mane) I’m also planning on purchasing this 1.25 inch curling wand to style dry curls (if you follow any other BLOGGER’s you may have come across it) You can also snag the entire 3 piece set: here which comes with different size barrels to achieve both tight & loose curls. I decided it was time for me to give up on my drug store hot tools curling iron & trade it in for something with a bit better quality. I will keep you posted with the results!
